Meditation and Pregnancy


Many studies have proven that a daily meditation practice during pregnancy has many beneficial effects for the pregnant mother and her developing baby.

Meditation during pregnancy has been proven to:

  • Lessen overall medical complications for newborns

Everything a pregnant mother eats, drinks and thinks affects her unborn child in some way. Long-term, ongoing stress during pregnancy may affect the emotional and mental wellbeing of the mother, and affect the health of her baby both before and after birth.

A balanced and calm mental and emotional state is important to maintain during pregnancy. Meditation and mindfulness help to reduce the stress levels an expectant mum may be experiencing.
